Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute Football

Bill Martin taught at Ingersoll District Collegiate from 1962 to 1995. During that time, and following his retirement until 2012, he coached many high school sports teams, one of which was football.

Martin, Bill - 1968Bill kept scrapbooks during the football season. The ones scanned include the 1968 season and the 1973 & 1974 seasons.

The scrapbooks contain newspaper articles, as well as his observations and comments about each of the games.

The 1968 Senior Football team Bill coached with Neil Desborough, won the Tri-County Football Championship. That team was inducted into the Ingersoll Sports  Hall of Fame in 2005.

The scrapbooks were given to Bill Caldwell by Alma Martin and donated to the Ingersoll Sports Hall of Fame.

Generously loaned to Oxford County Library, for digitization purposes, by the Ingersoll Cheese & Agricultural Museum.
